New Series Launch: Behind the Breakthroughs

Meet the minds working to change the future of glioblastoma Multiforme (GBM) treatment.

We are excited to introduce Behind the Breakthroughs — a new spotlight series that brings you closer to the scientists behind NuCapCure’s mission. At the heart of every research breakthrough is a person: curious, determined and driven to solve some of today’s most pressing medical challenges. This series is about them.

Through these interviews, you will meet the researchers developing next-generation therapies for GBM — the most common and aggressive brain tumour with no current cure. Working across disciplines like photobiology, radiation biology, reactor and accelerator physics, synthetic and medicinal chemistry, they are combining forces to develop novel treatments using protons and neutrons.

In Behind the Breakthroughs, these experts share what fuels their work, the big questions they are tackling, and how NuCapCure’s ambitious approach is pushing science forward.

Whether you are a fellow researcher, potential partner or simply curious about science that saves lives, this is your invitation to go beyond the lab and meet the people behind the innovation.

In our first feature, we speak with Project Coordinator Dr. Theodossis Theodossiou from Universitetet i Oslo. He shares the moment that sparked his journey and what continues to drive him: “What motivates me is the need to provide a solution to a problem which does not have one yet, and at the same time provide hope to many people, but also hope to myself that we can make their hopes and expectations come true.”
